4 Simple Super Bowl Recipes That Your Whole Family Can Enjoy

The Super Bowl is just around the corner! While I know we’re all excited to watch the big game with family and friends, I’m equally excited for all the delicious food and snacks I’ll be eating this year.

Game day is packed with some classic dishes that are sure to be a hit with your family. Wings, sliders, finger foods, dips, and other fun appetizers are just some of your options.

If you need some help getting ready for the Super Bowl, I’ve got you covered! I’ve partnered with Brittany Owens of In the Kitchen With Britt for some Super Bowl recipes that your whole family can enjoy. These dishes are family-friendly and easy to prepare!

1. Honey Hennessy Wings

Honey Hennessy wings are the perfect way to start off your Super Bowl celebration. These wings taste great and aren’t too difficult to make. Before you ask, don’t worry this dish is family-friendly. Your kids won’t get drunk eating Hennessy wings. The alcohol will be burned off while you cook. I’ll go over the instructions for the recipe below:

- 2 pounds of chicken wings

- 2 tbsp. baking powder

- 1/2 tsp. salt

- 1 tsp. pepper

- 1 tsp. paprika

-1 ½ tsp. black pepper

-1 ½ tsp. garlic powder

-1 tsp. ginger powder

-1 tsp. chicken seasoning

- 1/2 c. of your favorite bbq sauce

- 1/2 c. honey

-1/2 c. Hennessy

- 1 tsp soy sauce

Step 1: Start by preheating your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: Then combine all your dry ingredients together. Your salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, baking powder, and chicken seasoning should be thoroughly mixed in a bowl.

Step 3: Coat your chicken wings in the mixture and make sure each chicken wing is generously covered.

Step 4: Put your chicken in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown, then flip your chicken and keep then in till the other side is cooked.

Step 5: Make sure your chicken is crisp then take it out.

Step 6: In a heated saucepan put your bbq sauce and Hennessy. Mix together, then add in your honey and soy sauce to make your chicken wing glaze. Keep the pan on medium heat and stir till you create a thick sauce.

Step 7: Add the wings to the glaze or pour it over the chicken. Then serve your meal!

2. Cheeseburger Sliders

Step 2: Combine the beef, seasoning, chopped onion, and minced garlic.

Step 3: Drain the liquid and set the cooked beef aside.

Step 4: Slice the rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half in the same baking dish.

Step 5: Place the cooked beef on the rolls, followed by the cheese. Mix together mayo, mustard, and ketchup. Spread across cheese. Then top with the remaining rolls.

Step 6: Bake for 20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Step 7: Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and brown sugar mixture. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top and top with pickle to garnish

Slice into individual sliders, then serve. Enjoy!

Everyone loves a good dip to go along with their bowl of chips on game day. I have the perfect recipe for guacamole here for you. This simple but healthy guacamole recipe is great for kids.

Step 1: Start by cutting your avocados then take out the pits.

Step 2: Put your avocados in a bowl and start mashing them with a fork.

Step 3: Cut up your onions, garlic, cilantro, tomatoes, and peppers and add them to the avocado mix.

Step 4: Put in the rest of your ingredients then stir the mixture till smooth.

Step 5: Serve your guacamole with a side of your favorite tortilla chips or pita chips. It can also be used the next morning on toast.

4. Jalapeno Poppers

The final recipe I’ll be sharing with you is for jalapeño poppers. These appetizers might seem like they’ll be too spicy, but if you remove the seeds and add enough cheese, your kids and the rest of your family are sure to go crazy for these poppers during the Super Bowl!

- 12 fresh jalapeños

- 6 strips of thick bacon

- ½ tsp. of garlic powder

- ¼ tsp. of onion powder

- Sprinkle salt and pepper

- 2 tbsp. of olive oil

- 1 c. of your favorite cheese

- 1 container of cream cheese

- 1 c. of panko crumbs

Step 1: Preheat your oven first to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: Get out a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper.

Step 3: Cut your jalapeños and scoop out the seeds and insides. Wear gloves if you can.

Step 4: Put your jalapeños on the baking sheet. In a bowl mix the cream cheese, your choice of cheese, and spices together. Then fill the jalapeños with the mixture.

Step 5: In a pan use the olive oil to gently heat and crisp your panko. Then cook your bacon and cut it up.

Step 6: Put the stuffed jalapeños in the oven. Bake them for 15 minutes. Once they are out of the oven, top them with the bacon and panko then serve.
