As a mom, I’m always on high alert during winter, doing everything I can to keep my family healthy and energized. Over the years, I’ve fine-tuned a winter wellness arsenal that combines natural remedies, immune-boosting foods, and preventive practices.

Stay Hydrated

It’s easy to forget about hydration in the winter, but dry indoor air can leave us dehydrated. I make sure water bottles are always within reach and encourage herbal teas as an alternative.

Cold, dry air can irritate nasal passages and make us more susceptible to germs. A humidifier helps keep the air in our home at a comfortable moisture level, reducing dryness and improving overall comfort.

DIY Remedies

Making your own elderberry syrup or herbal teas can be much cheaper than buying pre-made versions. I’m not great at making elderberry syrup but I do purchase it from a neighbor. Consider someone local if possible.
